Kelvin Magsipoc “You know, it’s kind of different when you’re older and you have kids who are coming out of high school and they’re like 18 or 19 and they don’t really know what they’re doing or they don’t really have … a real motive. For me, I’ve had time to develop that because … culinary kind of goes in line with what I’m doing already. I’ve been working in restaurants for a while [in Waikīkī], but I feel that taking culinary … it wouldn’t just look good on paper, it would open doors for me because you get to work with people that have been doing what you want to do. I always say ‘If you want to grow, then you have to go,’ and sometimes you just have to go and do something that you have to do, which [for me] is do [school] for awhile and see what happens.”

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″][et_pb_image animation=”off” sticky=”off” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid” _builder_version=”3.12.2″ src=”https://kapionews.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/IMG_5790.jpg” /][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label=”row” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat” background_size=”initial”][et_pb_column type=”1_2″][et_pb_image animation=”off” sticky=”off” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid” _builder_version=”3.12.2″ src=”https://kapionews.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/IMG_5793.jpg” /][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″][et_pb_text use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid” _builder_version=”3.12.2″]

Anela Haena-Paulo “Well, took a year off, but I was motivated to come back to school just so that I can get a better education and learn more about what I’m interested in.
