Together with the rest of the club, Lara and Rhea strive to share Filipino culture and values with the rest of the school.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n\u201cFilipino culture has been a big part of me since I was growing up,\u201d Lara said. \u201cFor every decision I make, Filipino culture<span class=\"text_exposed_show\"> has been part of it. For example, my parents treat me differently because they\u2019re from the Philippines.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<br \/>\n\u201cYou know how there\u2019s a lot of Filipino-Americans living in Hawai\u2018i and America? Well, a lot of them do not know their Filipino heritage,\u201d Rhea said. \u201cI want to bring that up to these students who may or may not know their heritage.
