Jeff Kim is an Economics major from Chicago who moved to O‘ahu two years ago.
“Economics doesn’t get me excited to get out of bed in the morning. But when it comes to climate change, it’s as useful as it can be in addressing the climate crisis. … It can create policy-level solutions like the cap and trade … and carbon taxes. … These economically based solutions are going to be the most effective. I want to do what I can to address the climate crisis.”
Jeff manages the Honolulu chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby (notice his hat) and is also on the executive committee for the Sierra Club on Oʻahu.
