Word on the street: What’s the hardest class you have taken at KCC and why?

“It’d probably be Human Anatomy. It’s a lot of memorization, there’s a lot of bones in the body, muscles, areas, and you need to know all of them. Yeah, and there’s, like five different layers of the skin. A lot of knowing where this goes, where that goes, what happens … it’s like a chain reaction. It’s so hard. If you don’t have to take it, don’t take it.”

“French, because it’s an online course. Learning a different language is a lot harder online than in person.”
Trisha Nagasawa

Major: Culinary Arts
“I guess for me it was Culinary 155, that’s intermediate baking. For me that was the hardest one because that was my first real class where I had to serve people. It was just, like, a whole new stress level of having to come into class early and prep, and stay later to clean, and making sure that all the food is up to the expectations of the people.”

“That’s a tough question. Probably the hardest class taken was a math class. They’re all hard because math is my weakness. Yeah, so, anything related to math is difficult for me, but I was able to pass it. It was about four semesters ago. The highest math I need is Math 100, so I’m glad I got that out of the way.”

“Hard to say, all classes have been pretty easy for me. The most challenging one I’d say Law 101. That was pretty challenging [to] keep up with the reading and the homework.”
