KCC’s Employment Prep Center will host its Fall 2018 job fair on Thursday Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. [The original date was Sept. 13. But the fair’s been changed due to Tropical Storm Olivia.]
This year the Employment Prep Center has focused on gathering employers from several industries so as to match students from a wide variety of majors offered at KCC with more than 50 employers that will be attending the event.
KCC students and the community will have the chance to network and learn more about job openings available to them.
“Our intention with the student fair was to invite employers that would hire students from multiple programs,” said Su Lazo, one of the event organizers. “We wanted … organization[s] that targeted more of a broad spectrum of students.”
Prior to the job fair, the EPC will review and edit students’ resumes. Reviews will happen Tuesday and Wednesday in ʻIliahi 231 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students are required to bring a draft copy of their resume. No appointments are needed.
There will be prize giveaways to those who check in at the entrance table, as well as a DJ and interactive activities on the Great Lawn, where the fair will take place.
