Aoi Mikaido is a 21-year-old student from Tokyo, Japan. She’s currently in the English for Speakers of Other Languages program and plans to major in Hospitality. Her dream is to one day work at a Disney park.

She’s loved Disney since childhood and her favorite movie from the studio is 1970’s “The Aristocats,” which is her favorite movie of all time.

“I was 3 years old, the first time [I saw it],” Mikaido said. “I guess it’s not famous. … I couldn’t speak well, and I just didn’t think anything, but I do love that one. My sister loves it too and watched it super many times. I had a lot of chances to see it.”

Her vision for the future is to go back to Japan and work at the Disneyland in Tokyo for experience then come back to the United States to hopefully get a job at a Disney amusement park.

“I wanna be a guide for Japanese people. … They need, like, a translator,” she said.
