Irene Yuan is a first-year student majoring in Liberal Arts. She’s 21-years-old and emigrated from Beijing, China with her entire family to the United States.

“I like Hawai‘i because the weather is good,” said Yuan. “My lifestyle and environment has changed.”

She emigrated here for the same of her education.

“I want to study media. … Journalism, maybe,” said Yuan. “I want to transfer to a California university. … I grew up in the city so I want to go to the city.”

Yuan enjoys reading and writing romance, which relaxes her. She also enjoys dancing and listening to music, such as the Chinese boy group TNT.
