“So I would say never study the day before your midterms. In preparation, I would say give yourself about a week to study to break down the materials by a day-to-day basis, that way you don’t get … too overwhelmed with everything. And, I mean, your professors are always available, so always like … when you come across a problem take note of it and email them before hand to get some help. I would recommend study groups with your peer, with your classmates. Just building a relationship with your classmates really, really helps because you guys form not only … a classroom relationship, but you also build friendships outside of it too.”

“Use the … available resources that they have at KCC. There’s a little study room that they have up here (FYE floor), and the library’s got all kinds of good stuff. Oh! I got a good one… sit by the smartest kids in your class, that’s what I do.”

“I don’t think we take any test for the class (ESOL), for the language class we’re just writing test, but it’s almost every week we have to do this. And for the major class we don’t take any tests. I study by myself, and study hard.”
